What an rsID can — and cannot — tell you
An rsID identifies a variation at a specific DNA position. It does not, by itself, measure gene expression in your body. A link observed in the literature often describes a statistical association, sometimes weak, and not a certainty for an individual.
An rsID is not a life sentence.Your other variants, age, habits, environment, and many biological factors contribute to the actual outcome. The goal is to identify reasonable levers, not to predict your future.
Scientific limitations
- The DNA microarray does not read all positions in the genome: an absent marker is not a negative result.
- Evidence levels indicate the strength of an association, not a guarantee of individual effect.
- Most complex traits depend on numerous genetic and non-genetic factors.
- Application information may evolve with the scientific literature.
Decisions not to make alone
Do not start, stop, or modify a treatment, dose, restrictive diet, major supplementation, or intense training based on this application alone.
In the event of symptoms, pregnancy or breastfeeding, a known medical condition, treatment, or clinically actionable result, consult a qualified healthcare professional. Sensitive app results require appropriate confirmation before drawing any conclusions.
Confidentiality and optional AI plan
The raw DNA file is read locally in your browser. It is not sent for standard analysis and can be deleted from the application.
If you choose the AI plan, the service sends only derived and pseudonymized signals as well as structured choices useful for the plan. The raw file, rsIDs, genotypes, and gene names are not transmitted. The AI plan remains optional and its consent is separate.
